The vehicle suffered major damage after being involved in a crash with a lorry at junction two west at Coven Heath just before midnight.

Ambulance staff treated the male driver at the scene for cuts to his left arm, but his injuries were not serious and, after monitoring, he was discharged at the scene.

The crews said the man was very lucky to only have minor injuries given the level of damage to his vehicle.

The lorry driver was uninjured.
