People traveling to Chester and Crewe were forced to wait for up to one hour after a service ran by DB Schenker broke down at the north end of the station.

Services are now back to normal, apart from one train which was running 56 minutes late.

A spokesman for Arriva Train Wales said: "At ten to 11 this morning a freight train broke down by the North end of the station.

"This meant that services to Crewe and Chester were not able to run as normal and there were delays of up to one hour.

"Everything is now running smoothly again and only one train is 56 minutes behind schedule. "
