Motorists urged to plug in to first Shropshire e-car recharging socket

And Shropshire green campaigners are hoping their new £10,000 charging point for electric vehicles will soon be replicated throughout the county.
Church Stretton has become the first town in the county to offer a public charging point for electric vehicles. It is in the Co-op shop car park and
is a joint project between Stretton Climate Care, Co-op, Church Stretton Town Council and Shropshire Council, and will open on Friday.
Jon Cooke, spokesman for Stretton Climate Care, said: "It will take electric car owners about three hours to fully charge their batteries."
