Police say the young woman was on her way into the Post Office bank, situated within the Co-op in Cabin Lane in Greyfriars, Oswestry, when she was pushed to the ground from behind.

An orange Sainsbury's bag containing a large amount of cash was stolen.

Police are particularly interested in a potential witness, a woman in her 70s or 80s, who was on her way into the Co-operative at the time of the robbery at 10.30am on Saturday, and who may have seen the offence happen.

The offender, a white man, wearing a grey top, left the scene in a white van. Anyone with any information should call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 290S of 26th July.
