The accident happened last Wednesday at 4.20am on Baddeley Green Lane in Stoke, but police have only just named Miss Oakley as the victim.

Now police want to trace a woman who is believed to have been with Georgeina and her sister during the early hours of Wednesday.

Witnesses who saw the car, a black Vauxhall Vectra, before the crash are also being urged to come forward.

A police spokesman said: "An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing and we are re-appealing for witnesses, or anyone who saw the vehicle travelling beforehand, to come forward."

Anyone with information about the accident is being asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
