Public excitement seen on the opening day of the complex last week does not appear to have died down as more than 7,000 residents flooded into the new building, a gold-clad three-storey home for a 25,000 book library, Telford & Wrekin Council's customer First Point and a Costa Coffee outlet, during its first seven days of business.

The first week has also seen staff in the council's newly relocated First Point customer contact centre assist more than 300 people to access a wide range of council services and benefits. It also provides access to partner agencies like the Prince's Trust, the Royal British Legion, armed forces charity SSAFA, Citizen's Advice Bureau, the Red Cross and the Healthy Lifestyles Hub.
