A49 in Shropshire closed after tandem pair in collision

Two cyclists riding a tandem bike were taken to hospital after a collision which saw the A49 in the south of the county closed for three hours.

The crash between the cyclists and a passing vehicle happened at Onibury at about 5pm yesterday.

A woman on the bike suffered a broken hand but both cyclists were later released from hospital.

The A49 was closed between Craven Arms and the junction with the B4365 at Bromfield, near Ludlow, until 8pm.
