Police community support officers from the Dawley and Malinslee Safer Neighbourhood Team caught the litterer red handed after he ditched his snack wrapper on Dawley High Street yesterday morning.

Officers issued a fixed penalty notice on behalf of the local council.

PCSO Sarah Houlston, who was at the scene, said: "Littering is not a big issue in Dawley, but when we see it we deal with it.

"Hopefully this will put him off littering again."
