Telford hit by spate of arson attacks

Arsonists are believed to have started a series of fires in Telford.

Around 100 metres of recycling wood was set alight on an industrial estate in Telford.

Firefighters put out the blaze in Halesfield shortly after 2.15pm yesterday.

A car was also badly damaged after being set alight in Brookside, Telford, last night.

A fire crew was also called out to the saloon in Grebe Close shortly before 10.30pm.

Two wheelie bin rubbish skips also caught fire by KFC at the Wrekin Retail Park in Wellington, Telford, in the early hours of today. The fire is being treated as suspicious.
