A vet and fire crews spent almost two hours freeing the animal.
A spokeswoman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The heifer was stuck in a slurry pit and was not very happy so was sedated by a vet called to the scene."
The spokeswoman added: "The animal was then rescued by fire service personnel using animal rescue equipment and a rescue tender."
