Big Busk fun draws talent in to Shrewsbury
[gallery] The streets of Shrewsbury were alive with the sound of music as hundreds of performers took part in the town's second Big Busk in memory of murdered musician Ben Bebbington.
Music of all genres was performed by about 80 acts in Pride Hill, The Square, Shrewsbury Market Hall and the High Street during the daytime, with singers moving into venues such as Henry Tudor House and The Dolphin pub in the evening.
The event was organised by the friends and family of Ben Bebbington, a Shrewsbury busker who was murdered in an unprovoked attack in September 2012.
Organisers have hailed the weekend's event a success and thanked everyone who helped run it and take part.

It was not just musical talent on show, with the packed programme of events also including performances by street dancers, yoga instructors, poets and storytellers.
About 400 individuals were involved in this year's event, which was raising money for, and awareness of, the work of Shrewsbury Ark – a refuge for vulnerable people which helped Ben.
Karen Higgins, Ben's sister, said: "It was awesome from start to finish. It makes you proud to be part of a town like Shrewsbury.
"But it wasn't just people from Shrewsbury who took part – it was wider than that. People from all over the county came.I think the whole community should be proud of itself.
"This includes the people who watched, the volunteers and those that busked. We had some really talented musicians who gave up their time."
