Church Stretton's Mayfair Centre has been named as one of 10 winners of a GSK IMPACT Award, selected from more than 400 charities.

In addition, the Mayfair Centre will have access to training, development and networking opportunities through a programme organised by The King's Fund.

Mayfair will be recognised, along with other award-winners, at a ceremony to be held at the Science Museum in London on May 15. An overall winner, who will receive a further £10,000 in funding, will also be announced at the ceremony.

Chief officer Nicola McPherson said: "

The award gives us a great opportunity to learn from others working within the field as well as the importance of a financial award – which will be very helpful to our work."
