Man trapped under forklift truck on Shropshire border

A worker was freed by colleagues after being trapped under a forklift truck on the Shropshire border last night.

The man was trapped outside the water plant owned by local supermarket chain Harry Tuffins in Churchstoke.

Emergency services were called out at about 4.40pm.

A spokeswoman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue service said: "The casualty was working at Harry Tuffins.

"He was released by colleagues using car jacks before we arrived.

"He was in the care of paramedics and they took him to hospital.
