Woman treated for effects of smoke after Telford car fire

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after her car caught fire in Telford.

The fire broke out at about 6.50pm yesterday after a mechanical problem developed.

Emergency services were called out to the car at the Castle Farm Interchange at junction 4 of the M54.

Fire fighters from Telford Central put out the blaze and the car was then pushed off the road.

The woman, who had managed to get out of the car, was treated by paramedics for the effects of smoke inhalation.

The road was clear by 7.30pm.
