Telford woman accused of £100,000 fraud

A woman has appeared in Telford charged with taking more than £100,000 from her employer.

Elizabeth Powell, 55, of Burnside, Brookside, pleaded not guilty to six charges of theft and four of fraud.

She is alleged to have stolen more than £13,000 from Moorlands Ltd between May 2002 and January 2007 and using credit cards, cheques and wages to defraud the company out of £106,000 while working as the finance manager.

Powell is due to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on March 3 next year.
