Event experts sought to run Telford's T-Live Festival in 2014
An event management company is being sought by Telford & Wrekin Council to run next year's T-Live Festival.
The council has been criticised for not calling in expert event managers for this year's event, which lost £40,000 despite the appearance of chart-toppers McFly and several other top names.
Council leader Kuldip Sahota said: "We have begun to build a reputation in Telford for hosting events and festivals.
"The 2013 T-Live was all about demonstrating that the arena can work as a venue for major festivals and on that basis it was a huge success."
He added: "We are now looking to develop T-Live into an annual profit-making festival and we are inviting professional production management companies to bid for the production management of the 2014 event."
Tenders must be submitted by noon on December 6.
