Shrewsbury High School will be the setting for a traditional performance of the bard's comedy As You Like It.

The performance, by The Lord Chamberlain's Men, will be one of the main features of the Shrewsbury Summer Season – a packed calender of cultural events taking place across the summer months.

The production will take place on August 13, and will feature an all-male cast in traditional costume. The comedy features warring brothers, clowns, comic peasants, romance, death threats, escape and even a wrestling match.

The event has been sponsored by Tudor Healthcare Accountants, Strutt & Parker and FBC Manby Bowdler.

Laura Jones, marketing manager for FBC Manby Bowdler, said: "It is important for us as a business to get involved with and support local art and culture which is why we're delighted to sponsor the production and be part of the Shrewsbury Summer Season programme"

Ann Tudor, of Tudor Healthcare Accountants, added: "Outdoor theatre productions in Shrewsbury also prove to be such enjoyable evenings for us and our clients."

As in previous years, the audience is being encouraged to bring along picnics, drinks and something to sit on to complete the experience.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £12 in advance or £15 on the gate. Tickets for children cost £5.

They can be purchased online at www. wegottickets.com or from Shropshire Bowling and Trophy Centre in Milk Street.
