Bosses at Llanfyllin High School, in Llanfyllin, near Oswestry, said health teams had already visited the school to offer vaccinations to pupils and advice to parents. They are scheduled to visit again next week.

The school has many pupils from the Oswestry area.

A school spokeswoman said: "We had six or seven cases before Easter and that triggered a visit by the School Health Service to offer vaccinations.

"Currently we have four or five children off with measles and the School Health Service is due to back to offer more vaccinations on Tuesday."
