Stonehouse Brewery at Weston is building a new base as well as a visitor centre to tap into the growing popularity of microbreweries. Bosses say its current base was too small to allow the business to expand.

Work has started and the brewery equipment could be moved in within weeks.

A visitor centre and shop will open after the firm, run by Shane and Alison Parr, received £32,000 from Shropshire Council's Market Towns Revitalisation Programme and £5,000 from Shropshire and Herefordshire Business Enterprise Fund.
