The county is still clearing up after extensive flash flooding last week which left motorists stranded and schools closed.

A yellow alert was yesterday issued for the West Midlands, Wales and parts of east and south-east England.

The worst of the rain is likely to hit the area from about 6pm tomorrow and may linger into Saturday’s early hours.
