Owen Paterson targeted over badger cull

New Environment Secretary Owen Paterson has been targeted by animal rights militants who have published his address and photographs of his home online as part of a campaign against the controversial badger cull.

The North Shropshire MP, who was moved to the post in David Cameron's Cabinet reshuffle, last week backed a badger cull trial in England despite having owned two of the creatures as pets when he was growing up.

Mr Paterson is reported to have obtained a High Court injunction against the website, which also lists his office phone number.

The activists removed the information but within hours it had reappeared on a second 'mirror' site hosted in Australia which is still accessible in the UK.
