The former Changing Rooms presenter will be in town on October 6 to host the event at Shrewsbury School, which organisers are hoping will raise about £3,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

And among the models will be Carol's 17-year-old daughter Christie Knight, who is an A-Level pupil at the school.

Christie, who has helped to organise the event, said: "We were really pleased when my mum said that she would host the show.

"She is looking forward to the event and helping to raise funds for such a worthwhile charity.

"We hope as many local people, as well as parents and other pupils, will come along and we are very grateful to all the local shops for agreeing to take part. It should be fantastic.

"We aim to beat the fund raising target of £3,000 and tickets are already selling fast so it is very exciting."

Boutiques including Wysteria Lane, Hayley J, French Connection and Monsoon are providing outfits for the Allington Hall event.

Vintage gowns from The Looking Glass of Bridgnorth will also be modelled.

Tickets for the event are £10 for adults and £7.50 for concessions, with the cost of entry including a champagne reception at 7pm.
