Shropshire is to be battered by more bad weather tomorrow with forecasters warning up to 40mm (1.6in) of rain could fall in just three hours tomorrow.

The Met Office issued the yellow weather warning for rain as it predicted heavy showers, thunder and gusty winds will hit the county.

And motorists have been warned to take care on the roads as the downpours could lead to flash flooding.

A forecaster for the Met Office said: “A frontal system will move eastwards on Wednesday to be followed by a showery west or southwesterly airstream.

Some 15-20mm of rain could occur locally in less than an hour while 30-40mm could occur in three hours in a few spots.”

It's going to rain! It's nothing unusual in Shropshire, it has rained before!

Just bear in mind the people of New Orleans that have a Hurricane heading towards them once more. Now THAT'S what you call being "battered" by bad weather, not some paltry amount of rain which has been happening all summer long!
