More than 200 model aeroplanes took to the sky over Shropshire at the weekend in a celebration of aviation on a smaller scale. The event was run by the Large Model Association.
Organisers were also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Large Model Aircraft Rally at RAF Museum Cosford on Saturday and yesterday.
Club vice-president Dr Keith Mitchell said the airshow was now four times bigger than when it first started out.
He said: “We fly models from all over the world and attract visitors from across the country.
“There are more than 200 planes and pilots here.
“The planes can be worth up to £10,000 and some are only scaled down by 10 per cent, so it’s quite a show,” he added.
Planes taking to the air included a Handley Page Victor, a Pits S12 and an English Electric Lightning.
Organisers said they were expecting between 10,000 and 12,000 visitors over the two-day event.

Mr Mitchell said: “Any plane you can think of there will be a model version.
“We have a good relationship with the Cosford Museum and everything that can be viewed there can be seen in the sky.
“We give half of our profits to the museum each year.”
A family fun fair kept youngsters entertained throughout the day and visitors also got the chance to try out one of the aircraft simulators.
In addition to all this, trade stands selling both modelling and non-modelling related items lined the airfield.

It's the LARGE Model Association, not the Light Model Association. On account of the models being large.
