Tennis ball sparks blaze at Shrewsbury home

A tennis ball sparked a blaze at a Shropshire home.

The ball became stuck in a light fitting at a home in Shrewsbury, starting the small fire.

Fire crews were called to the house on Sundorne Road at about 8.20pm on Saturday after the occupants began to smell smoke.

Firefighters spent about 15 minutes making the house safe.
