A 73-year-old man from Shropshire has died after being involved in a car crash in Wiltshire.
A 73-year-old man from Shropshire has died after being involved in a car crash in Wiltshire.
The man, who is believed to be from the Oswestry area, died at the scene of the accident in Wiltshire on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the A303, near Mere, at about 3.40pm following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Wiltshire Police said a Honda CRV travelling west was in collision with a Peugeot 307 travelling east.
The Peugeot driver, a woman aged 72 from the Oswestry area, was seriously injured and airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Gloucestershire.
A male passenger, believed to be her husband, died at the scene.
The 50-year-old female driver of the Honda received severe bruising but did not need hospital treatment.
