Joe Hart laps up the summer sun

Shropshire-born England goalkeeper Joe Hart has started to put the national side’s Euro 2012 woes behind him – as he relaxed in the sunshine in Ibiza with Premier League pals Danny Welbeck, Michael Carrick and Andy Carroll.

The former Meole Brace School pupil, 25, who started his career at Shrewsbury Town, attended the opening of a bar by TV soccer host Gary Lineker’s brother Wayne.
The star, who now plays for Premier League champions Manchester City, took the opportunity to top up his tan at the Ocean Beach Club, enjoying a drink in beach shorts and sunglasses.
His well-earned break from the football field comes just a few days after England suffered penalty shoot-out heartbreak against eventual finalists Italy. Hart said he was ‘devastated’ to see England go out at the quarter-final stage of the competition.
“I thought it was going to be our night because of the side we had, the heart we had, the quality we had, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. We didn’t do well in the shoot-out, myself included,” he said.
But Hart and the other England players were in a better mood on the Spanish island as they enjoyed their break.
One reveller said: “The players were having a great time.”

I'm pleased Joe & a few other England players are enjoying themselves in the sunshine. All said & done football is in the close season, the Olympics being the exception. But is it really news? Is this the best SS can find to post on the front page?
Local boy does good is always nice to hear but........

Nice to have a well-deserved holiday after doing their highly over-paid job very badly isn't it?

Nice to see there's still plenty of bitterness towards people who achieve great things and rise to the top of the profession they are in
oh yeah, i forgot to mention that he gets paid a lot more than Nurses and Soldiers.......good on you Joe..
Doubter
Yeah good on you Joe.. but is it really newsworthy to know he is on Holiday in the sun, this type of "story" belongs in the gossip mags such as Hello and closer or whatever they are called.

Not meaning to defend the quality of their football or anything (they were terrible in the game against Italy) but the national team don't actually get paid to play in national matches if I remember rightly.
Stokey
Everybody is entitled to a holiday, I just wonder why this is deemed to be news, we'll know when he's reached the pinnacle it's when Her Holyness Shirley Duchess of Ketley does an indepth feature on him.....
