Shropshire date for Princess Alexandra

Shropshire is set for a Royal double next month, it was announced today.

The week after Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh are at RAF Cosford, the Queen’s cousin Princess Alexandra will be at St Andrew’s C of E School in Shifnal and an organic mixed farm run by Mark Lea at Kemberton.

Her lady-in-waiting Meriel Afia lives in the area and is also part of the organising group for the Queen’s visit. St Andrew’s head Adrian Marsh said:

“We have been working with Mark at the farm and in school for a long time now.”
