Those people who write to your excellent newspaper and who continue to believe in manmade climate change caused by carbon dioxide should be made aware of the following facts:

1. The Antarctic, containing nearly 90 per cent of all the ice in the world, has been cooling, not warming, over the past 30 years.

2. In the last three years the world has been through two of its coldest winters for decades.

3. There are four times more polar bears now than 40 years ago.

4. Almost every single claim in Al Gore's film 'An Inconvenient Truth' was either wildly exaggerated or wrong.

5. The 'Hockey Stick' graph referred to by those who believe the warming theory has become one of the most comprehensively discredited artifacts in the history of science.

6. Real climate scientists are largely agreed that changes in climate are driven by activity of the sun and variations in the ocean currents.

This being so, one can see that while solar panels are a good idea, the 'carbon tax', wind generators and the closing down of power stations and industrial complexes because 'they generate carbon dioxide' is incredibly stupid.

Those who believed in Al Gore and his cronies are destroying our economy, jobs and way of life for no good reason.
