Whitchurch burglaries suspect arrested

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a string of raids at homes in Whitchurch.
Seven homes were targeted overnight on Saturday in Smallbrook Road, Chester Road, Dodington Sharps Drive and Kingsway. Police said they believed most of the burglaries happened in the space of a few hours.
Richard Ewels, West Mercia Police spokesman, said today: “The man is also being questioned about the theft of charity boxes from a Whitchurch church in November.”
