Search for missing Alethea Taylor continues
Wednesday 25th January 2012, 10:59AM GMT.
Police investigating the disappearance of a 63-year-old woman near Ludlow were today scaling back their search.
Alethea Taylor, of Orleton, was still missing today – seven days after she vanished from her home.
Officers at West Mercia Police say the force’s helicopter, dog handlers and specialist officers will no longer search land at Orleton.
Instead they will continue to investigate Mrs Taylor’s disappearance but plan to respond to specific information they receive from members of the public.
Villagers, however, have pledged to continue their daily search of land around the village and mountain rescue teams and members of Severn Area Rescue Association will continue to search the area.
The search was due to resume at 10am today.
Anyone with information can contact West Mercia Police on 0300 3333 000.
