Protest plan for BBC Question Time show at Theatre Severn
Tuesday 17th January 2012, 10:59AM GMT.
Protesters are planning to gather outside Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn when an episode of the BBC’s Question Time is recorded there this week.
Members of Shropshire Fights Back say they will highlight cuts to county services when the programme comes to town on Thursday. They will gather at 7pm.
The protesters announced their plans on Twitter last night.
The programme will be recorded at 8.30pm and transmitted at 10.35pm.
Brett Davies, president of the Shropshire and Telford Trades Council, which is affiliated to Shropshire Fights Back, said Question Time offered a good opportunity to try and get local issues on the national agenda.
He said the protesters would carry placards and hand out leaflets.
