Shaun Ryder to film UFO show in Shropshire

Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder is to visit the county this week – as the star attempts to discover whether the truth is out there in Shropshire for a new UFO show.

Ryder, who was runner-up two years ago in ITV1 show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, is filming a new television series for the History Channel.

He plans to investigate the existence of aliens by visiting sites and experts in Peru, Chile, America, Australia . . . and Shropshire.

He is coming to the county to meet local UFO believers Darren Perks and Phil Hoyle, who will be showing him around Shrewsbury and other locations in Shropshire and Powys.

The programme is to be called Shaun Ryder on UFOs.

Mr Perks, who is from the Herongate area of Shrewsbury, said he was approached to be on the show because of his sighting of a potential UFO over RAF Cosford in March 1993 when he was 16. Since the encounter, Mr Perks has set up a website about the incident.

He said Mr Ryder would be talking to him about the incident and its significance.

“We will be going out around Shropshire and Powys and covering all sorts of things, from UFO sightings to animal mutilations,” he said.

Mr Perks said the Happy Mondays star had been chosen to front the series due to his own belief in aliens. “He was growing up and living in Manchester. He witnessed a UFO at the age of 15 flying over where he lived,” he said.

Not ‘potential’ UFO, it was a UFO….
Witnessed by over 100 people all over the UK which included serving military officers, civilian police officers and staff at the then Defense Research Agency in Malvern.

Meh! He’ll find out what? Nothing. Nothing that all the the other investigative shows about UFO’s haven’t already found out by investigating the existence of aliens by visiting sites and experts in Peru, Chile, America, Australia . . . and Shropshire. Sound familiar? It’s all bullshit that is being fed to the sheeple.

Big E- Another skeptic I see actually there are new things being found out about this subject on a daily basis so your point about him finding out nothing is pointless.
This show is different because Shaun is actually going to film with proper real life normal people who investigate the subject rather than the so called experts you have in the states etc. The thing is, if police officers and military personnel with vast experience are seeing UFOs and all things related then they cannot be wrong. They are not the kind of people who just make up crap to tell fibbys.
It’s good to see that the UK is going to be featured more in this series and it’s good to see Shropshire in the media.
There will always be people that give negative comments about stuff like this but those people are ususally the ones with blinkers on and cant step outside the box so to speak.
Well done Shaun and well done to Phil and Darren for getting this show out to the public!
