Thieves steal motor spares from Telford garage

Thousands of pounds’ worth of catalytic converters have been stolen from a garage in Telford.

The devices were taken from JG Motors in Halesfield.

Chris Ammonds, Telford Police spokesman, said: “The cars were targeted for their catalytic converters because of the precious metals which they contain and their scrap value, which is about £400 per catalytic converter.

“We are investigating this theft and others in the county.” Contact police on 0300 333 3000.
