Shrewsbury flood barriers to come down

A clean-up operation was under way in Shrewsbury today as the level of the River Severn began to recede.

Frankwell car park – closed due to floodwater – was expected to be re-opened this afternoon. Flood barriers near the Guildhall are set to be dismantled.
