Telford fitness fanatic fulfills a dream with new gym

A fitness fanatic has fulfilled his dream of opening his own gym in Telford after spending £50,000 on the venture.
Vishav Singh, 24, has spent the last four weeks working around the clock to transform the former empty unit on Bridges Business Park in Horsehay into the Fitness Factory.
He said he was overwhelmed to have signed up 40 members within 48 hours of opening the doors on New Year’s Day.
Mr Singh, from Priorslee, said: “The response so far has been fantastic.
“People in the Horsehay, Lawley, Dawley, Lightmoor and Ironbridge areas haven’t had a gym this close before.
“We have had people walking down to have a look and signing up there and then because of the convenience and for people further afield we have extensive parking right outside the door so it’s an ideal location.”
Mr Singh, who made a career change from a quality engineer to become a personal trainer and fitness instructor, said he had been saving for three years to realise his dream.
He said he wanted to give everyone the opportunity to access the gym and has included a pay-as-you-go scheme to avoid people signing up to contracts.
“This is very exciting and I hope it will become such a success we will be offering more job opportunities and give a boost to the village of Horsehay,” Mr Singh added.
