Canoeist, 48, dies in weir incident near Ludlow

A 48-year-old man died today after getting into difficulties while canoeing near Ludlow, police said today.

Emergency services said the canoeist, who has not been named, died after he was recovered from a weir in the Downton on the Rock area just after 10.30am today.
