British Olympic heroine Ann Packer is in Shropshire today to officially mark the start of London 2012 celebrations in the county.

Ann will help start a 60-mile relay race from Much Wenlock to her home town of Congleton in Cheshire.

Ann was the first British woman to win an Olympic track gold medal, winning the 800m at Tokyo in 1964.

Much Wenlock Mayor, Councillor Lesley Durbin is to help her start the relay.
