Three men in court over Shrewsbury murder

Three men appeared in court today jointly charged with the murder of 23-year-old Jason Cooke who was stabbed at a park in Shrewsbury.
Peter Clinton, Damen John McDonough and Aaron Mark Doran were charged with murdering Mr Cooke following an incident at Monkmoor Recreation Ground on Tuesday.
The three men appeared at Telford Magistrates Court today.
Clinton, of Caradoc View, Hanwood, near Shrewsbury; McDonough, of Darville, and Doran, of Cornmill Square, both in Shrewsbury, were also jointly charged with aggravated burglary on the same day.
They were alleged to have entered a property in Abbots Road, Monkmoor, Shrewsbury, and attempted to steal a TV set, a computer games console and games when a person in that property, namely Mark Williams, was subjected to violence.
There were no applications for bail, and the three men, all aged 24, were remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned for a hearing at Shrewsbury Crown Court on January 9.
