Warning after Shrewsbury home raided
Friday 23rd December 2011, 10:57AM GMT.
Residents were this afternoon urged to be on ‘red alert’ over Christmas after a home in Shrewsbury was burgled in broad daylight.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Edwards issued the warning after thieves broke into a property in Cunningham Way, Herongate estate, yesterday at about 3pm by forcing a window open.
They made off with property and cash, including Thai jewellery, watches and iPods.
Mr Edwards urged people across Shropshire to report any suspicious activity they saw at neighbours’ homes in the wake of the incident.
Anyone with information can call Shrewsbury police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
