Black Panther Donald Neilson died from pneumonia

Serial killer Donald Neilson, who murdered Shropshire heiress Lesley Whittle in 1975, died from pneumonia, an inquest heard today.

Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong opened the inquest in Norwich.

He said the 75-year-old, known as the Black Panther, was transferred from Norwich prison, to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Saturday.
