Santa flies in by helicopter to Shropshire school
Friday 16th December 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
Father Christmas found time in his busy pre-Christmas schedule to drop in to see youngsters at a Shropshire school.
Santa was flown in by helicopter to Myddle Primary School near Wem yesterday to meet the children and to give them presents.
He arrived in a Griffin helicopter with his pals from RAF Shawbury to ask the children what they would like for Christmas.
Youngsters also got the chance to look inside the helicopter and ask questions of the crew.
There was also the chance to meet some alpacas belonging to a family who had visited the school.
Sue Dawson, headteacher, said: “We were really lucky with the weather, the sun was shining.
“The children got to see Father Christmas land before he went inside and they got to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. They all got presents.
“As he left he was waving and they did a flypast. It was a great experience for the children.”
