Work will start on £100,000 Wem square

Work to create a £100,000 town square in Wem will start next month.
Shropshire Council said work on the scheme for land at the lorry park between the Co-op and White Lion will start in mid-January and take about six weeks.
Plans divided public opinion, with some claiming it will breathe new life into the town, while others say it is a waste of money.
