Wednesday 14th December 2011, 12:34PM GMT.
Parts of Shropshire were on flood alert today as weather experts warned the county was set to be hit by a second major storm this week.
Water levels at Crew Green, Montford and the Welsh Bridge around Shrewsbury are expected to reach peak levels overnight while flood warnings have been issued for two roads in Shrewsbury.
Gravel Hill Lane in Coton Hill and Sydney Avenue in Castlefields, Shrewsbury are expected to be affected by flooding by tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile the Upper Severn in Powys was also on flood alert at Llandrinio, where the water level was six metres and was expected to rise. Roads expected to be affected include Manthrig Lane from Manthrig brook in Caersws and the A490 at Kilkewydd and the Trehelig Crossroads.
But water levels at Abermule, Buttington and Munlyn, along the Shropshire/Powys border, were falling this morning.
