Christmas presents targeted by Telford home burglars
Wednesday 14th December 2011, 7:00PM GMT.
Thieves broke into two homes in Telford and stole hundreds of pounds of Christmas presents.
Police are now warning householders to be vigilant after the raids.
The first break-in happened at an address in Old Wharf , Malinslee, sometime between 11am and 8.15pm on Monday.
Thieves forced their way into the home by smashing a window.
Christmas presents, which were wrapped and bagged, were opened and stolen. Items taken included a laptop computer, a remote control car, three bottles of aftershave and an X-box.
The second break-in happened just before 3am today when thieves forced their way into a property at The Court in Sutton Hill.
Thieves stole wrapped Christmas presents including DVDs and a make-up set.
The householder was woken by their dog and went downstairs to find out what was happening.
Two individuals were seen running away into Great Hay Drive.
Police want to hear from anyone with information on the incident.
