West Mercia Police budget faces £5m cuts
Thursday 8th December 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
Cuts of £5 million are planned to the West Mercia police budget for next year.
The police authority for the force, which covers Shropshire, said it would look to reduce the size of some departments but would seek to protect front-line services where possible.
Nearly £10 million has already been cut and the public will be asked what policing priorities should be.
