Woman forced to flee Market Drayton house fire

An elderly woman had to flee her house in Market Drayton after her washing machine caught fire.

The incident happened at about 12.30pm yesterday at a two-storey property in Salisbury Hill View.

The woman, believed to be in her 80s, was treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance crews at the scene and taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
