Teen beauty spot drinkers are ramblers, not rebels
- Dave Burrows
Seeing the width of the road to Bridgnorth in Much Wenlock, it’s not surprising it was widened in the 1930s. This photo, used in the new book Much Wenlock Past to Present in Photographs, is one of only a few that survive showing the previous layout of the road. “The small group standing outside the Harp pub are watching the Wheatland Hunt rounding the Gaskell corner. Barns which enclosed the Gaskell’s yard are visible, as are the petrol pumps of Bache’s garage beyond,” says the book’s caption.
