Thursday 24th November 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
Much Wenlock will have a synthetic ice rink as part of its annual Christmas Fair.
The big event takes place on December 3 and the ‘Winter Wonderland’ rink will be situated on the Back Lane car park.
Almost 125 traders and exhibitors will set out their stalls, selling a wide range of goods.
There will also be dancers and singers, including the Lady Georgianna group, which will entertain with costumed, 18th century performances of music, poetry and readings. Other attractions will include a mini-funfair and Santa’s grotto.
Liz Challinor, one of the organisers, said the synthetic rink will need special skates, which will be included in the £4 cost for half an hour. Shorter sessions may be available for young children.
A park and ride will from Williams Brookes School and the Plume of Feathers near Harley.
The fair will run from 10am to 5pm, admission is free.
