Saturday 19th November 2011, 11:00AM GMT.
Bridgnorth company Classic Motor Cars which took 7,000 painstaking hours to restore one of the world’s most famous E-Type Jaguar’s has been given a top award.
The company walked away with Restoration of the Year during an international awards ceremony in London.
A team of craftsmen from the business brought the car back to life from a mangled wreck and were able to save 90 per cent of the original car.
“It was a real labour of love,” said Nick Goldthorp, managing director of Classic Motor Cars. “It proves that British craftsmanship and dedication is alive and well.”
The Octane International Historic Motoring awards were held at the newly refurbished St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
